Czech it out

A new theatre in Prague is the Spiral Theatre found in the city's fairgrounds. A sort of post-modern colosseum, the Spiral Theatre might be reminiscent of the Thunderdome in 'Mad Max III' to some. Well worth seeing for its peculiar shape alone, it has shows with fine actresses and actors, and there's no talking about a language barrier here. 'Czech' for yourselves.

Sleeping squishy

I should have heeded the guidebook's warning when it said the mountain refuges in the Tatras were popular. I had to spend several nights curled up in a stairwell on my sleeping pad. Every bed was full and every available square foot of floor space had someone sleeping on it. Sleep Disorders anyone? :)

Further Festival: Other Ones + Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers

Made up of members of the Grateful Dead, the Other Ones have successfully headlined the Further Festival for the last two years. Ziggy Marley has been both blessed and cursed with carrying on reggae's rich cultural heritage and he's shouldered it well with his two sisters Cedella and Sharon and brother Stephen, even earning a Grammy for the album 'Fallen is Babylon'. With both bands pop sensibilities and legendary background, this is one show not to be missed.
